Health Guarantee

Our Health Guarantee and Puppy Replacement policies are a simplified, concise version of those that are standard among many reputable Puppy Breeders within the US. The terms and conditions within it are intended to protect both the buyer and seller, and are non-negotiable.  By purchasing a puppy from Dara’s Doodles the Buyer agrees to accept and abide by all terms and conditions set forth below.

BUYER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide a safe and loving home for your puppy (Puppy is defined as birth to two years for the purposes of this Health Guarantee).

  • At a MINIMUM, provide puppy with routine, preventative care including vaccinations, de-worming, proper nutrition and a safe environment in which to live.

  • Have your puppy seen regularly by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, with a license in good-standing in a US State or Territory (hereafter referred to as “Veterinarian”) in accordance with the National Guidelines for Veterinary Care.

SELLER RESPONSIBILITIES/GUARANTEE

  • Our puppies have been seen regularly by a Veterinarian and those records will be provided to you.  You are purchasing a healthy, happy puppy!

  • If a puppy purchased from Dara’s Doodles develops a hereditary health condition listed below that may affect his/her life or physical abilities within 24 months of his/her date of birth, we will REPLACE it with a new puppy as soon as possible.  Every effort will be made to accommodate the Buyer’s request re: sex and coloring for up to three replacement puppy offerings.  If the Buyer refuses three replacement puppy offerings he or she will thereby forfeit their right within this Guarantee of receiving a replacement puppy.

  • Genetic Conditions covered in this Guarantee include:  Crippling Hip Dysplasia, hereditary heart or eye conditions, kidney, pancreas, spine and liver conditions that cause a severe or life-threatening condition for the puppy.

  • If a replacement puppy is offered, the original puppy must be returned to Dara’s Doodles and the replacement puppy must be picked up/delivered/or shipped to the Buyer, all at the Buyer’s expense.

  • If a Buyer elects to keep a puppy with any health condition determined to be covered in this Guarantee, the Guarantee will be voided and any costs for the care and treatment of the puppy will be the sole responsibility of the Buyer. 

  • Any claim for benefit from this Guarantee must be accompanied by supporting documentation from a Veterinarian provided by and compensated by the Buyer and it must indicate a health condition(s) covered in this Guarantee.

  • In the event a puppy were to die within two years from his/her birthday an autopsy must be performed by a Veterinarian provided by and compensated by the Buyer, to determine the cause of death of the puppy. All of his or her documentation relating to the treatment and autopsy of the puppy must be sent to Dara’s Doodles in order to file a claim under this Health Guarantee.  

  • Dara’s Doodles reserves the right to to have a third-party Veterinarian we compensate to review any veterinary records and supporting documentation relating to a Health Guarantee claim.  THIS THIRD-PARTY VETERINARIAN WILL HAVE THE FINAL, BINDING OPINION AS TO THE CAUSE OF ANY ILLNESS OR DEATH OF ANY PUPPY SOLD BY DARA’S DOODLES.

  • We do not make any guarantee relating to the size, temperament, final color or markings of any puppy sold.

  • Although there is sufficient research and scholarly information available stating that F1b Goldendoodles do not shed and are hypoallergenic, we do not offer this as a guarantee.

  • WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS ON ANY PUPPY.

  • This Health Guarantee will be voided if any puppy returned to us, in the opinion of a Veterinarian we employ, is suffering from abuse, neglect, or a preventable illness or injury. Failure to properly vaccinate your puppy will also void this Guarantee.

  • No other illness, injury or health condition(s) other than those listed above are covered by this Health Guarantee.

  • This Health Guarantee is voided if the puppy purchased from us has sired or whelped one or more pups.

  • This Health Guarantee applies to the original buyer of the puppy and is not transferrable to any other person.
